As part of our trip to Normandy this year we again visited the US Cemetery at Colleville-Sur-Mer.
The new visitors centre is open and well worth a visit.
We arrived on the Monday after Memorial Day in time to see the French and US flags flying on everyone of the graves.
Every flag was precisly positioned.
The weather turned wet again so we shortened our visit and planned to return later in the week.
We visited again on the Wednesday to find that they had all been taken down.
The time and patience that had been given to put these up and take them down again goes to show the vast amount of respect that is placed on the sacrifice of the lives of those remebered at the cemetery.
Here are a few photos of our visit, I hope that you like them.
I have more and will upload them later.

I am having problems with my attachment space so cannot upload any more at this time.
I am now uploading my pictures to photobucket.com so should be able to post more on the forum via links.
I will change all my previous posts to this method if it works.

Beautiful photos. Thanks a million. Wished we could have seen all the flags you spoke so highly of.
====================
As far as posting photos, several people have been having some problems, but it's mainly due to not following the suggested guidelines. Photos should always be 800 X 600 or smaller. Everyone needs to get into the practice of downsizing their photos from their digital cameras, before posting on any forum or website. LARGE photos take up a LOT of server space, and unfortunately we have to impose limitations or we'd run out of space or be forced to buy more server space.
Also there is a limitation as to how much space is allotted PER post. You can ADD to it by replying and adding another. A good case in point are Moose's photos. As you can see he has hundreds, but they are smaller in size.
Hope that helps you. Always glad to assist. If anyone needs help, please refer to our HELP section. It gives guidelines for our forum.
