SOUNDS TO ME THAT THERE IS ONE GAL THATS' AWFUL HAPPY !!!!!!!!!!!!!

COULD IT BE KNOWN AS M-1 ??

That is ME, M1. Having a great time already. Just taking a few moments in my nice suite. Have my VI Corps Music site playing in the background. Setting the mood.

Received written permission from Scott, who is formerly known as J. Scott Trotter Kinghorn. He has kindly allowed me use of Adeste Fidelis, as sung by Bing Crosby. I will let you read this letter to me, and am also posting his uncle's program notes. I think you will find it quite interesting.

Thank you Scott for your kindness and thoughtfulness. I surely appreciate it. :heartpump:

Here's to Bing and here's to Scott's late uncle, John Scott Trotter. :drinkin:

May have found another university to work with. Have been in contact with Madonna University the last few days, and just sent some information along with the current scripts, to their drama/broadcasting department. Wish me luck.

All the changes and delays have put me behind about 6 weeks! Sigh! But I have to deal with it. Nothing much I can do. So I have to think positive, and believe all this transpired for a reason, and the wait will be worth its weight in gold.

:clappin2:

Thanks to two very generous contributions this month, I was able to cut two checks this morning; one to Universal Studios and one to Williamson Music, each for $100.00. This covers my contracts for the use of White Christmas by Bing Crosby.

I wish to thank my very fine contributors, for without you, I would be unable to do this. And big thanks to Universal and Williamson Music, for extending me a BIG break.

I am not using any HOUSE money for any of my WWII projects. This includes research, websites, attendance to reunions, and of course the documentary. All funding is derived from small billings from website/computer work I do, and donations and contributions from my vets, their families, our many readers and forum members.

From the bottom of my :heartpump:

M1

I am beginning to feel like a broken record... Deja vu?

After waiting for more than two weeks, I have yet to have any of my email or phone calls returned from the second university, so I am once again in limbo and waiting on others, while I fall dreadfully behind. I keep telling myself this is happening for another reason, and something really good is awaiting for me.

However, I am now in contact with the curator of the WWII D-Day Museum in New Orleans, who informed me he would help me out in any way he could. So I told him of my progress, needs and dilemmas. It is nice to know I have people rooting for me and trying to lend assistance however they can.

I have learned what it is to be a struggling artist. May it make me more humble and appreciative of anything which comes my way...

Chin up Marion. You're doing a great job. Don't let those people turn your mood down. Keep it rollin'.

Hang tough,

Frank

Today I wrote to my alma mater, Eastern Michigan University. Once again, wish me good luck on my endeavors. Here we go, out in the wild blue yonder....

Already heard back from Professor Ken Stevens, and he said, they'll give it a shot! Can you see me dancing on the ceiling?

I wrote back and said I would send along some scripts and will also call him this week to give him a better feel of what I need.

I LOVE my alma mater!

A little "plug"... :armata_PDT_37:

Talk about an uplifting and inspiring letter. This has made my day and certainly my month. I am so thankful for all my contacts and where they have put me. You never know where the next helping-hand will reach out! I am so grateful and so excited about the prospects.

Dear Mrs. Marion Chard,

My name is Dave Ulbrich, and I work in the History Office at the U.S.

Army Engineer School at Ft. Leonard Wood. I am writing to introduce

myself.

My supervisor, Dr. Larry Roberts, passed along your Christmas Newsletter

which mentioned your contact with BG Watson. Both BG Watson and Dr.

Roberts want this History Office to follow up with you.

I am working my way through your web page on "VI Corps Combat

Engineers." It is truly impressive. I find your discussion about your

father particularly moving. Your entire online effort, writing a book,

and making a documentary are labors of love. If we can help you, we

want to do so!

We definitely look forward to your visit. There will be much to see

here in our archives and at the museum. For your reference, here is the

link to the History Office's home page:

I am intrigued by your interest in making a documentary. In a past jobs

as historical consultant for television documentaries, I have worked for

two organizations that could be resources for you. We can chat later

about these if you wish.

In closing, I look forward to interacting with you and meeting you in

the future. Please do not hesitate to email or call me.

Thank you for your supreme efforts to preserve the memories and

experiences of the engineers and of the "Great Generation."

Respectfully,

Dave Ulbrich
