Get the picture! :pdt12:

I bet I'm the only one that will fly it on a flagpole made out of stainless steel (borrowed from work) and a toilet bowl float. Remember, I am the daughter of a combat engineer.

I just planted the flower pot at the base of it, so it will look nice.

Jim Hennessey wanted to share this with you. I think I know what his favorite photo is! :pdt12: I think you will figure it out when you see it!

Here's a more compact version of Old Glory that was worn with pride on June 6th, 1944 (as well as many days that followed). These items have come to be known as 'Invasion Armbands.'

Here is the flag I am flying today. My normal American flag is currently at Ft. Knox to be flown on the base to eventually be included in the shadow box I am making for my grandfather. Truth be told, I probably would have flown this one anyway. It is my Bennington Flag that I flew on special occasions in Iraq. (Normally I flew a Texas flag in Iraq.)

As it appeared in Iraq (I think this photo was taken on June 6th of 2004.)

And finally, my Texas flag. (As you can see, we added the cammie netting to our hootch as it got hot.) After 6 months or so of Iraqi dust, sun, and wind it's a little worse for the wear currently. At least it will make a good story!
