Thank You Vee, I watched the video including the inserts listed. I tried to catch a glimpse of
a shoulder patch and I think it was of a Thunderbird, (45th Divn). All pics were of thetown of Anzio.
We, I, didn't go into the town. We went around to the right of it where the Mussollini Canals were.
I have some pics of one where we dug in. Never saw Rome, we,(my squad) rode on a tank hellbent
for the PO Valley. And I THANK GOD THAT I AM WRITING THIS. justan87+dogfaceofthe34th...........
I enjoyed watching the videos too, Vee...thanks for sharing them. The theme music from Band of Brothers is great, and it fits all WWII Veteran's tributes now, regardless of unit or branch of service.
Rocky...did you ever get trench foot from slogging around all that Italian mud and snow?
Much respect to you Sir veterans first hand accounts are more interesting than any printed words in a book will ever be.
