picts 6 and 7 are somewhere in Italy. No descriptions on pictures
Steve, check out this next uncanny similarity that will come in the Feb. 17 entry. Both men were in the same general area.
Anzio was not a very large area. And all the GI's were in probably in fox-holes looking up at the airshow.
Pict 6 & 7 both appear to be wearing the 5th Army patch. One is hard to see the details but it has the shape matches and the outline of the A-5 can barely be seen. Picture 6 appears to be at some villa. I wish you knew where that was.

Sorry I have not posted in a while, but I've been extremely busy and I've recently moved from Austin, TX to Corpus Christi, TX.
My mother was cleaning out my grandmother's house and discovered an envelope with an "Alice Echo" newspaper clipping along with several photos. The attached picture is a scan of this newspaper clipping which is describing some of the duties my grandfather's unit participated in. It's a neat little article that I believe was written in the Alice Echo sometime in either 1944 or 1945.
