Hi Marion,
On your page:
http://www.6thcorpscombatengineers.com/JamesBird.htm
You refer to the The 45th DIVISION NEWS published May 13th 1945 and its extensive article by Bill Barrett on the capture of Dachau by the 157th Infantry Regiment.
My later father, Felix A.Cizewski, was in the 45th Signal Company at the time and saved his copy. I have posted it at:

Hi Marion,
I've uploaded another editon of the "45th Division News" from my late father's collection, the extra announcing the end of the war in Europe. It has another article by Bill Barrett "45th Record: 511 Days of Fighting".

Latest from Leonard...
On April 29, 1945, the riflemen of the 45th Infantry Division liberated the Dachau concentration camp outside of Munich. Felix A. Cizewski, my late father, Eli's grandfather, in the 45th Signal Company would have been coming up right behind them, laying communication lines and hauling supplies. I have digitized the copy Felix saved of The 45th Division News with the account of the liberation uploaded to a site at http://www.ibiblio.org.
As I posted items on family history on the Internet, I found others were interested in them from a variety of perspectives. I realized that some of these items had historical significance. I searched for a permanent site for sharing them and found Ibiblio.org.
Ibiblio.org is a library and digital archive project of the University of North Carolina and the Linnux operating system. They have accepted my proposal to upload artifacts and stories of general interest from the Cizewski Lovetere Musbach Robinson Family history. In honor of Felix's memory, I chose his copy of the liberation of Dachau issue of the 45th Division News as the first item to upload.
My two highest priorities for the Ibiblio site are items already scanned but not on the TDS Cizewski Robinson Family History site and printing the items related to Felix A. Cizewski for Ann Cizewski, his wife, my mother.
Most of the items on the TDS Cizewski Robinson Family History site will eventually be transferred to Ibiblio. I will continue to send out announcements major additions and historical anniversaries.
Yours,
Leonard H. Cizewski
