The Italian Campaign & animated map
Posted by: Walt's Daughter - 03-28-2005, 10:50 PM - Forum: VI CORPS AND 5TH & 7TH ARMIES - Replies (1)

I placed this in the What's New section but am placing it here too because I want to add some info. If you go to this site The Italian Campaign, they also have a great animated map (Flash file).

Italian Animated Campaign Map

I sure would like to have maps like this on my site eventually for the engineers. I have the technology, but it takes some playing around. Ah, that's something for the future! B)

Here's a great photo to share of Al Kincer - 48th Combat Engineer. So happy that I can share this with all of you! This was taken on his 86th Birthday. God bless him! -o-

Frank Surek - 36th Engineer Regiment
Posted by: Walt's Daughter - 03-28-2005, 04:13 PM - Forum: LOOKING FOR... - Replies (2)

I got the following email today. She is looking for info on her uncle Frank Surek of the 36th Combat Engineers. I informed her that I would pass the info on to Captain John Fallon.

--------------------

Hi - my uncle Frank Surek was with the 36th Engineer Regiment and died of wounds on Feb 17 in Anzio. I have his individual deceased personnel file and it says he was with Company C (not which Battalion). I was wondering if you ever came across his name? Thanks
