Well, I have finally started putting together the photos of all the documentation I have been able to get from my grandfather's old items, here is the first, this is the booklet entited - A Camera Trip thru March Field - A picture book of the field and its activities, hope everyone enjoys, more to come.
Well it looks like there WILL BE another reunion in 2014. Great news!
Everything is in the works right now. Looks like a possible October date, but nothing is in stone right now. A good possibility that it will take place on the east coast. Many of the vets live out that way, so it would be nice for them.
If all is well, I plan on attending, as does Colin (our buddy from England), so good lord providing, we will toast to the vets, yet another time.
I would like to introduce myself, my name is Jay, I am a 10 year Navy Veteran and am currently doing research on my Grandfathers former assignments during WWII, which happens to be the 1885th Engineer Aviation Battalion and the 3310th Technical Training Wing.
A few weeks ago my father brought up several documents, books, and pictures dealing with the 1885th that my grandfather left behind when he passed, I am currently in the process of scanning these documents and such and will be uploading them for everyone to see, here are just a couple I have scanned so far. Didnt realize my grandfather saved so much.
