  Farewell to Patti Page
Posted by: Walt's Daughter - 02-18-2013, 08:47 AM - Forum: Great Tunes from WWII - Replies (1)

On this page I would like to pay tribute

to Patti Page now deceased. She had no goofy attire to use for fame. What she had

was a BEAUTIFUL voice, one you loved to

listen to and enjoy. She has now passed over

the bridge.May She Rest In Peace.

Thanks Patti Enjoyed Your Singing Voice.

Just a fan--Jim Hennessey

87th-Inf.Div.

Jim asked me to post this for him. He's making the transition from WebTV to PC laptop. So while he's getting his sea legs, I am doing this for him.

Incredible! Watch this short video on Larry, who honors soldiers with over 2000 flags along funeral routs.

Thank you for the invite...I have been researching my grandfathers WWII history for three years now and found out a lot. His name is Walter J Read served in the "Red Bull" 34th Infantry 135th division Company i. from Nov 43 to Dec 45. Received a purple heart on June 1 44 in Lanuvio "Blood Gulch". He did recently pass last year, but I was able to Honor him into the WWII Memorial before his passing. He was very proud of it. I'm always looking for more info. and pictures if anyone knew him or of him. Thank you again for the invite and see you online..Thomas Read

Farewell Frank Rikacs - 36th Engineer
Posted by: Walt's Daughter - 02-12-2013, 09:57 AM - Forum: Announcements, Get Well Wishes & Farewells - Replies (1)

Ah, and yet another. Did not know him, but always sad to hear the news...

The names are coming with an alarming speed and we lost another Seahorse. Frank Rikacs has gone to his final assignment and may God Bless him.

Unfortunately our roster is quickly becoming just one page. Survivors all tell me that their parents enjoyed getting the letters even though they could not respond. We now list 32 , and Stay RUGGED!!!
