Have a chance to start my own radio show
Posted by: Walt's Daughter - 02-27-2012, 10:12 AM - Forum: MARION'S NEWS n UPDATES n BABBLINGS... - Replies (19)

Hey guys and gals, what do you think about this offer which just came my way this morning. I am seriously thinking about it. It would be a great way to reach out to everyone. And think of the audience. I was so pleased to see that many have listened to the archived interview. WOW! What a way to start my day. What am I always saying; you never know how your day will progress...

Hi Marion,

I thought about you the other day and wanted to run something by you. Monday the guest that I had on wanted to have his own show and I put him in touch with the CEO of the radio station. They are already working on the contract.

I think it would a great advantage for you to have your own talk radio show. You have had SO many listeners to the programs you were on and it continues to grow each day. You would reach so many and have much to discuss. You would air live once a week for an hour. And remember it's a global program. In the event that you could not be on the air a certain week, the station would run an encore or you could have someone fill in for you or help you run the show. You would own your own show and I think advertisers would jump to be on it. This could be huge for you. Toginet Radio currently has 4.5 million listeners which is one of the largest internet radio stations.

Something to think about. If you decide to check this out just contact John Martin who is the CEO and tell him you were on my show and would like some info. John is a great guy BTW - Office phone # is 903.881.5709.

Hope this finds you well.

Israel’s new ‘Cutting Edge’ Airport Security
Posted by: Walt's Daughter - 02-27-2012, 09:47 AM - Forum: Jokes & Fun! - No Replies

Israel’s new ‘Cutting Edge’ Airport Security

TEL AVIV, Israel — The Israelis are developing an airport security device that eliminates the privacy concerns that come with full-body scanners. An armoured booth you step into will not X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have on your person.

Israel sees this as a win-win situation for everyone, with none of this crap about racial profiling. It will also eliminate the costs of long and expensive trials.

In the airport terminal, you hear a muffled explosion. Shortly thereafter, an announcement, “Attention to all standby passengers, El Al is proud to announce a seat available on flight 670 to London. Shalom!”

BRILLIANT!

  223rd Engineers WWII
Posted by: Walt's Daughter - 02-26-2012, 11:00 AM - Forum: WWII ENGINEERS - Replies (11)

Hello,

My name is Max Merry and I have been looking for years for any information on the 223rd combat engineers that was in the Aleutians during WWII. My grandfather from Gaylord, MI was in this unit and I haven't been able to find a single thing on it. I know I have the correct unit because I have his discharge papers and that is where I got the unit number from. It says Co. C 223rd Combat Eng. Could you tell me if this was even in the 6th Corp or lead me in the correct direction please. The 223rd now is listed as a National Guard unit in Mississippi I think it was. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,

Max

I am looking up info right now and will post it here in a few....
