  The Rancher
Posted by: jim armstroong - 01-30-2011, 09:38 PM - Forum: Jokes & Fun! - Replies (3)

:armata_PDT_37::armata_PDT_19:

A successful rancher died and left everything to his devoted

wife.

She was a very good-looking woman and determined to keep the

ranch, but knew very little about ranching, so she decided to place

an ad in the newspaper for a ranch hand. Two cowboys applied for

the job.

One was gay and the other a drunk. She thought long and hard about

it, and when no one else applied she decided to hire the gay guy,

figuring it would be safer to have him around the house than the drunk.

He proved to be a hard worker who put in long hours every day and

knew a lot about ranching. For weeks, the two of them worked, and

the ranch was doing very well.

Then one day, the rancher's widow said to the hired hand, "You

have done a really good job, and the ranch looks great. You should

go into town and kick up your heels." The hired hand readily agreed

and went into town one. Saturday night. One o'clock came, however,

and he didn't return. Two o'clock and no hired hand.

Finally he returned at round two-thirty, and upon entering the room, he

found the rancher's widow standing by the fireplace with a glass of wine,

waiting for him.

She quietly called him over to her..

"Unbutton my blouse and take it off," she said.

Trembling, he did as she directed. "Now take off my boots."

He did as she asked, ever so slowly.. "Now take off my socks."

He removed each gently and placed them neatly by her boots.

"Now take off my skirt."

He slowly unbuttoned it, constantly watching her eyes in the

fire light.

"Now take off my bra.." Again, with trembling hands, he did as he

was told and dropped it to the floor.

Then she looked at him and said, "If you ever wear my clothes

into town again, you're fired."

(P.S. - I didn't see it coming, either)

Hey gang, one of our special forum members is having a birthday today. Let's have a big round of applause for Erwin, known in these parts of the world, as Jeeper704!

It wouldn't be the same around here without him! Happy 40th!

  Voytek, the Soldier Bear
Posted by: Walt's Daughter - 01-30-2011, 10:21 AM - Forum: ANYTHING WWII - Replies (6)

Imagine this...I wake up this morning and my husband is visiting his WWII gaming forum. He says, you gotta see this. There's a question posted there which states, "Who was the strongest Polish soldier at Monte Cassino, and why was he so different from everyone else?"

Hmmm. Well obviously I don't know the answer to that question, but I tell him a few of my WWII buddies talked about the Polish soldiers at Monte Cassino.

So he scrolls down and there's this picture of a BEAR. Yes, you read that right - A BEAR!

Of course I have to look it up now, for I am very, very curious. Here's the scoop from a few websites I checked out.

  The Raft

My mom resuced it from the Goodwill. It's an original printing, dated 1942.

It's about a crew of three Navy men who had to land their plane on the sea because they ran out of gas. They drifted 750 miles and spent 34 days at sea.
