  John Adams - HBO Miniseries
Posted by: Walt's Daughter - 01-07-2011, 09:34 AM - Forum: General discussion - Replies (3)

When this first came out, we caught most of it on TV and were just riveted by the storyline and the acting. So beginning last week, Lee ordered the disk set via NetFlix and we've had the joy of watching all over again.

If you haven't had a chance to watch this series, PLEASE DO. There seems no better time to watch this, as the nation's extreme dissatisfaction with over-spending and over-stepping federal government, reaches fever pitch.

At the end of the second episode, we actually had tears in our eyes when the signing of the Declaration of Independence, took place. You realize how much was at stake, and how much these few men put on the line for the sake of freedom and escape from tyranny, regardless of personal cost.

After watching this, you will thank Mr. Adams for taking the time to document the history, so very late in his life, under the keen bidding of his dear wife and best friend, Abigail.

Abigail played a pivotal role throughout his life and service to his country. She was friend, confidant, wife, lover, counselor and continually served as his inspiration when all seemed gray and lost. You will realize what a crucial role she played from the beginning, and I am positive things would have turned out much differently, had she been absent from his side.

This series should be played in every school across the country, and in every home across America. Here's to John and Abigail Adams! And here's to the creators of the HBO programming; five stars, ladies and gentlemen!

Long live the constitution!! God bless America!!

  Geo-Tagging Safety

This is worth reading. It will make you think about a few things.

The attached Adobe Acrobat notice was recently issued by the US Army.

For the personal safety of our families and for ourselves, this is important CYBER-Crime information that we need to be aware of. Please pass it on...
