Irish Maam's boys - Walt's Daughter - 11-28-2005 God, is that ever precious. I read it to my hubby and he and I just loved the "EVIL DOERS"!!! Irish Maam's boys - Walt's Daughter - 12-04-2005 Cindy asked me to post some entries from WBG's forum:

For the people here who don't look at the For Those Who Serve you are missing out on some good old fashioned how America works and bands together, for those that do look you are gonna love this....
Wheres Dusty? Surprise surprise hes with his brother as we speak!! I worked with his Captain and Tays Company Commander and got them hooked up. I was hoping for a day maybe but they will have 6 precious days together, and they will be together on Dustys birthday Sunday. We are even working on a video tele conference in the next few days. Here is the wierd part. I primarily contacted the brass to find out if they could do the tele conference thing and they ran with it... they arranged for the boys to be together for some time .Just amazing people we have running things over there. Now I may have the chance to see my boys together at the same time and they can see me.. Lord life is grand. The other odd part is that it might be televised on NBC & CBS..I am not so sure about that part and how I feel about that but hey ifit gets the word out there that they are doing this and another family gets to connect then its well worth the stage fright. Call me happy....
Hugs hugs at ya Cindy Irish Maam's boys - Walt's Daughter - 12-07-2005 Following in her uncle's footsteps (or at least their helmets)! Irish Maam's boys - Walt's Daughter - 01-04-2006 This is from Taylor. Says it all doesn't it?
Happy new year to everyone. I know that people like to make new year's resolutions to say what they will do different in the next year to come. I know that after my experience, I will do things and see things differently. It can be so easy to get wrapped up in our everyday routines, that we forget about the little things that make us happy and unique. Being here has showed me just how lucky I am. In the absence of everything you love, you find a new understanding for what is important. What is important are the simple things that we become so used to that we don't even realize they are happening. They are opportunities to see or talk to the people that we care about. Those opportunities are not unlimited, and I hope that when I get home, I will remember how much I wished I had them when I couldn't. It's hard to see things for what they are when you are involved in the situation, but taking a step back has made me realize just how lucky I am to have the people in my life that I have. My resolution is to never forget that. Well I better get going. Love Taylor Irish Maam's boys - Walt's Daughter - 01-05-2006 Hope you like it and i hope everyone leaves a message to you both Stay safe, Love you both heart and soul Mom ----------------------------------------------

We are like bookends! Irish Maam's boys - Irishmaam - 01-12-2006 I got the best letter today from Dusty and thought I would share part of it, it makes me so proud of him and all of our troops so far from home. Made my heart just swell with so much pride in all they are trying to accomplish. There is no one I would be more honored ro share it with than you here. I have had the damn flu and have really been off...but this made my day
"I sit around and think what you are thinking about, (you know , are you all proud of me?) I am for the first time in my life. I think that I am actually doing something that is bigger then me, something that might actually make life better for someone, more than for myself or even someone I know. There are millions of people over here that actually have a future , it may not be f*****g shangrila but someday it might be better. I really dont give a s*** about WMD. I 've been talking to the Iraq people around here and almost all of them think the hardship is worth it, if their children and their childrens children might have a chance. It definently humbles me" |
