New member Filip - Jeeper704 - 05-31-2007 Thanks, we do our best. We have a good working group and although we might be a little strict in applying the rules, we do try to make it a nice forum without fights or belitteling of people, etc. And you are very welcome. We're going to expand the English section a bit soon.
As for 112th IR; a friend of mine had done some research of the fighting there during the Ardennes Offensive and he got in touch with both a GI and a German soldier who literally have shot at each other there. The GI was hiding behind a TD and the German was advancing down the hill. How's that for an opportunity?
I got a photo of Nelson's HQ somewhere (how it looks now). If there interest, I'll post it here.
Erwin New member Filip - Walt's Daughter - 05-31-2007 Probably one of the reasons you have a good forum is because you are strict. You have to have rules and guidelines or things will go to hell. It's like running a classroom; first and foremost you must have discipline. Every good soldier knows that!
WOW! That is something isn't it? How often does that kind of thing occur? Yes a true opportunity. Would have loved to hear that whole story.
Absolutely! We love visuals. New member Filip - Jeeper704 - 05-31-2007 Nelson's Headquarters 112th Infantry Regiment, Ouren (Belgium) Photo taken in 1990 (sorry for not so good quality).
