Our American Legion Post is presenting colors before the Mets game on Sept. 10th at Shea Stadium at 1 PM before the Mets Dodgers game.

I’d like to invite WWII veterans or recent Iraq veterans on your list who are in the NY area to participate with us at the game and ceremony. We will be presenting a 600 square foot flag on the field that takes about 20 people to carry, it would be great to have a few more veterans join us for this presentation. All are welcome to attend the event. The New York State Commander of the American legion, James Casey will be leading the delegation.
