112th Engineers - jim harriss - 08-13-2008 M-1 I have a freind, AMADOR BARBOSA, THAT ISN'T DOING TO WELL. WE TALKED LAST NIGHT AT OUR, ''AMERICAN G.I. FORUM MEETING'', HE DOESN'T HAVE ACCESS TO THE INTERNET. HE BELONGED TO THE 112 COMBAT ENGINEERS OF THE CLEVELAND NATL. GUARD. WENT IN AT NORMANDY, BATTLE OF THE BULGE AND WAS ATTACHED TO, 1st ARMY, 5TH CORPS. HE ASKED ME IF I COULD HELP HIM GET INFO ON THE 112TH COMBAT ENGINEERS. SO NOW I'M SAYING HELP!! Rocky He came to me cause I'm the Vice Cmndr. of our Chapter. 112th Engineers - Jeeper704 - 08-14-2008 A short description of their action at Omaha Beach, 06.06.1944:
Apparently, they were in support of the 116th Regiment/29th Infantry Division on D-Day.
From 02.09(September).1944, they were attached to the 4th Infantry Division. So they probably were located in Luxembourg during the Battle of the Bulge.
Erwin 112th Engineers - SonofaMP - 08-19-2008 Hi Rocky, the 112th ECB was under the 1121st Engineer Combat Group, supporting V Corps. On the unit page on Military.com http://unitpages.military.com/unitpages/unit.do?id=104139 it says "The Battalion HQ in BrookPark has the original reports of the WWII travels of the units."
