Vee Sainte-Mere-Eglise_6_June_44 - colinhotham - 11-08-2012 It's interesting to think that the C47s and gliders might have left a UK airfield just 6 miles from where I now live.
I will be there on Sunday 11/11 for the remembrance service. Representing the RAF and the 36th Engineer Combat Regiment. (With my new pin!)
The British, Canadian and US soldiers and airmen were involved, from what was then RAF Blakehill Farm.
Colin. Sainte-Mere-Eglise_6_June_44 - Walt's Daughter - 11-08-2012 Thanks Vee. That is just awesome Colin. Can't wait to see some pics and here about it. I know you will do the 36th proud! |
