Thank you, Jean J Robert Nichols - 160th Engineer - AlaskanGal - 02-03-2013 Marion,
I didn't see a way to get a hold of Wayne. If you would be kind enough to let him know, I have a Xerox copy of the 160th Engineer Combat Unit book I'll give to him. His uncle's name appears as one of the twenty three men the book was dedicated to.
Also, thanks for the "other information" Marion. I had a good laugh!
Nancy Robert Nichols - 160th Engineer - Walt's Daughter - 02-03-2013 I will send you his info. Sorry, didn't realize it wouldn't be a direct connect. Glad you got a kick out of my email. Robert Nichols - 160th Engineer - glen blasingim - 11-19-2015 Wayne, I am posting a few pictures from my copy of the 160th Engineer Combat Battalion book. These pictures do not have a lot of detail. The best that I can tell, the group pictures were taken around March 1945. These group pictures of Company B would be men that Robert served with and that he probably was at least aquainted with most of them, some close friends. I will be posting more soon. Glen Blasingim Robert Nichols - 160th Engineer - glen blasingim - 11-19-2015 Wayne, these are some pictures that have a remote possibility of having a recognizable picture of your uncle Robert L. Nichols in them. If you do see him in any of these pictures please let me know and describe which one is him so that I can put a name to a face. Robert Nichols - 160th Engineer - CaptO - 11-19-2015 That is a good tribute. Robert Nichols - 160th Engineer - Walt's Daughter - 11-20-2015 Thanks for your efforts!!! Great job!
