| Aces - A Novel of World War II - Robert Denny - Walt's Daughter - 10-24-2013 My husband was reading a book a few weeks ago and placed it on my desk, "You have to read this one first. It's really GOOD!" So I began flipping through the pages of Aces and it intrigued me from the first.
I won't give away too much, but it deals with an American pilot who winds up flying bombing missions from England.
He's from a small town in Pennsylvania and it deals with how life changes for him and his best friend.
The plot revolves around the ME-262, the first jet fighter produced by Germany, and one which startled and terrified those who encountered her.
Robert Denny was a B-17 pilot during the war, and writes from experience.
It's a quick, easy read, and one which will leave an indelible impression on you. |
