A preservation expert at the Military Personnel Records archive, in north St. Louis County, is tweeting pictures and details of her job at the National Archives in St Louis, MO. Tweets show preservation of burned military records - colinhotham - 02-10-2017 I read through this very carefully and admire the work being done to rescue the burnt and water damaged records. The kind of work I'd love to be doing myself. My only thought is that it is only one third of those lost that can be dealt with and the other two thirds are gone forever! A tragic loss.
