The Memphis Belle, is a B-17F-10-BO Flying Fortress with the serial number: 41-24485. It was part of the unit 24th Bomb Squadron (H), 91st Bomb Group (H), 1st Combat Wing, 1st Air Division, 8th Bomber Command. Its land base was Bassingbourn, England.
His story:
The Memphis Belle is the name of a bomber B-17 'Flying Fortress' from the Second World War, whose many films and stories recount the exploits. This was the first plane, and the first crew to successfully complete 25 missions, meaning at the time a return ticket to the United States. This device is now kept at Memphis
