Hi.
I’m just looking for info on the 94th Engr. Bn, General Services Regt., assigned to the 7th Army in France. It seems to be difficult to find info on these guys (a “colored” unit with white officers). I have collected many bits & pieces, but solid info seems to be generally unavailable, even at the Gov’t Archives. I was just wondering if you have had any inquiries or submissions for this outfit. It seems they worked on rebuilding railroads and RR bridge spans. I’m just poking around at possibilities.
Thanks,
Jack Bradrick

My reply:
Hi Jack:
Okay, here's a start. I also suggest you contact the Army Corps of Engineer's office of history, and Fort Leonard Wood, as well as NARA in Maryland, who keeps unit records from the war. Try each of these first to see what they have. All the contact info can be found in my research section:
