Looking for information on the 138th Combat Engineer Battalion during WWII

Hi, I am the grandson of a veteran and I can't find much info on the 138th. Can anyone help me out on this ?

I'll see what I can drum up. Have a pretty full day today, so will do what I can later this weekend. On the chairwoman for our local parks and rec and today is our Earth Day event, so...

Ah, we "taped" it and just watched the latest episode this morning. Man we love that show.

 

Funny thing is, when I saw his NAME, that's immediately what came to mind. Great minds think alike Major!

Also has anyone had any luck on finding some information on the 138th CE? The only thing I can find is a book about their exploits but it is in a library in Wisconsin.

Obviously I will keep looking. But the best thing to do at this moment is to contact the Army Corps of Engineer's Office of History and NARA in Maryland, to acquire their archived materials. I have links and contact info in our Research Section for both these places.
