Actually some other great people to confer with are engineer reenactors. Try some of these pages. I know these guys will be happy to assist you. Should have thought of that earlier in the day.

Sometimes the OBVIOUS isn't all that OBVIOUS. Trial and error usually give good results in the end. Hey don't bang your head too hard. After all we need you to complete the engineer display first.

I like the original WW2 Demolition crates. Searching one for myself. The gear you see on that picture from 'Bunny' is not all his gear. There should be a Bunny jr.
