I finally convinced Don that I REALLY did want his story. He is such a dear sweet and very uneffacing gentleman. When I ran into him again at the 101st luncheon, he actually came up to me and asked, "Did you really mean it when you said you wanted my story?" Of course I said, really. Then he smiled and said that he didn't want me to think that he was being vain. Oh my God, no. How could I think that? I'm the one who wanted his WWII history. See how great these guys are? Asking me if they are being vain.

Gee suddenly I feel like I'm in on the movie set of the Sound of Music. I don't know why I keep getting this feeling? 
I didn't realize when I woke up this morning, that someone would be singing to me.
