Just when I think I've heard from everyone in the 36th...
Hi,
I want to tell you how much I have enjoyed looking at your site. My grandfather was a member of the 36th Engineers. While browsing through your photos, I happened upon a picture of him.
It is in the 36th Engineers gallery, under Phil Bub's section. (He sent me a copy of the photo he was referring to.)
He was Ulmont Bonner from Fairfax, Alabama. He passed away on April 19, 1997 at the age of 80. I wish he were still here to see all that you have put together. I know he would have thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thanks again,
Nathan Smock

I put him in touch with everyone on my 36th mailing list, this week.

Hi Marion, I thought I had viewed every posted photo of the 36th Combat Engineers on your site. However, tonight my nephew found a professional photo posted by Ed Bub entitled "our gang." One of the men in the photo was my father, and I would very much like to contact Ed Bub. I have an original of the photo, but know nothing about the other men. I have had a problem posting a new message.
I realize that you cannot share email addresses, but if possible, at your convenience, would you please share my email address with Ed, and ask him to contact me. I will appreciate this very much.
Thank you,
Sandra Bonner Adair

Yes, it made my day too. Can't tell you how pleased I was to hear from him. Our family keeps expanding.
