This was taken from part of the same forwarded email to Gerome. I am printing it here because I thought many would like to see this, especially our dear friend, Rocky!

The correspondence is between the following two people:

Sherri Colby Ph.D.

Assistant Professor

Texas A&M-Commerce

and

Jeff Hunt

Director

Texas Military Forces Museum

Camp Mabry, Texas

==========

Sherri,

...Hispanic Medal of Honor recipients from WWII.

PFC Silverstre S. Herrera served with Company E of the 142nd Infantry Regiment, 36th Infantry Division and was awarded the MOH for action near Merzwiller, Franch on 15 March 1945.

Staff Sergeant Marcario Garcia served with Company B, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division and was awarded the MOH for action near Grosshau, Germany on 12 NOV 1944.

If you need more info on either man a quick web search will quick up their MOH citations.

Let me know if there is anything else we can do for you.

Jeff
