Inside the box was also a scrap of paper with the words "I love you" written on it.

It sure got me thinking.

The strange part of it all was that I just had sent an SMS to my Fiancée telling her I love her and shortly after I got a notice that I had won that item ..... coincidence?

Then they're currently dancing on the right side of life here ..... makes me feel great but scared at the same time.

This soldier didn't go overseas I think.

Instead - I presume - he stayed at the Training Center as part of the instructor group.

Thanks to guys like these, other soldiers stood a chance against the enemy due to specialist training and tactics.

In case of the 4th Armored Division, training was so that if for example the commander got wounded, another member of the crew could take over as they were not only trained to do their specific job.

Replacements were - if time allowed - quickly trained to do so too at make-shift training ground throughout their advance through Europe.

End of tank history lesson (part 1).

Since we're in the "loving mode" here .... a photo I picked up recently ...

Sergeant of the 14th Armored Division with his wife.

I have a small set of pictures coming my way which show another Armored soldier and his wife or girlfriend.

Those I will put here too when they have arrived.

As promised .....

10th Armored Division Sergeant.

I believe he was Regular Army judging by the ribbon on his uniform.
