My grandfather Linwood M. Johnson from PA served with the VI Corps in the 57th Signal Battalion. He trained at Fort Pickett in VA and went to Africa, Italy and Europe. I have pictures of him in Germany and I know he worked on utility poles, I would like to know more about where he served and with whom. If anyone served in this Battalion please contact me at beachbuds4@msn.com.
I see you were successful in creating an account. Great! Wonderful to find yet another person associated with VI Corps.
Now let's see what transpires on the forum. Okay, any 57th Signalmen out there or members of their families? We hope to hear from you.

Thought I'd surprise you. I "cleaned-up" the photo. Hope you like it.
