I am going to attempt to post some pics of my grandpa. If that doesn't work then I will post links.

The first is William Basil Grogan during basic, or very shortly thereafter. He went through basic at Fort Hood, Texas.

THe second is grandpa, grandma, my uncle Bill (I think everyone has one :) ) and my dad (the cute little guy.)

I think this was just before he shipped out, so early February, 1945.

Thanks and yes, I had an Uncle Bill too. :lol::lol:

 

Just love the little guys in uniform. How absolutely adorable. :wub: That must have been a very treasured photo for all of them. I love it!

Milsurp: I cant get over how young we looked. Seems like only yesterday but actually was over 60 years ago. Where did the time go? Reminds me of how we looked "then and now"..
