I came across this wonderful 2 generation family photo in my family history search which has been keeping me extremely busy lately. In the photo is my grandfather Arthur John Ely & his son (my uncle) Junior L. Ely.

Arthur John served 1903 - 1908 during the Spanish-American War with Troop F, 4th Cavalry Regiment & was stationed in the Philippine Islands. Junior L. Ely, Sergeant, 1st Infantry Division Field Artillery1940 - 1945 served in Tunisia, Sicily, France & Germany

Another photo of a family member, my aunt Louise Ely who served in the WAVEs. Louise met Chet Makseyn at a training base on the west coast and got married after the war.
