A litter of kittens ....

Nooo, not the animals ...... these!

TDuniformsshirts.jpg

All are uniforms worn by Tank Destroyer personnel.

Some are identified.

The last one belonged to a member of a TD unit in the 75th Infantry Division (he wore the TD patch on the right and 75ID patch on the left).

Love your sense of humor - a litter of kittens.

:frown:

FANTASTIC collection! Did you get those all at the same time, or over the course of time?

Thank you very much for the nice reply.

Well, it took quite some time to get these together.

A lot of looking around, asking around, negotiating, etc.

I got another one coming up, but it might take ..... yes, you know ..... time. :pdt12:

This jacket is supposed to be identified with name and unit.

We'll see.

The kitties have some company .....

OverviewMilitariaCollection23.jpg

The jacket between the 11th and 20th Armored Division ones is a former 16th Armored Division who got transferred to 4th Armored near war's end.

The GI probably had not enough points to go home with his unit (16th AD).

Thank you, dear Marion.

You're always free to visit the "museum" ... I won't charge you entrance. :pdt12:

But what I have pales in comparison with some other guys I know.

Regarding collecting, the new year will start great.

I finally found one ... a genuine "tanker jacket" or Jacket, Combat, Winter with an original mounted Tank Destroyer patch.

TDTankerJacket2.jpg

This display is not mine, it's the seller of the jacket.

TDTankerJacket1.jpg

Original TD patch and Sergeant stripes.

Just how I wanted it.

At the moment it is heading over the Atlantic Ocean according to the tracking number. :armata_PDT_01:

The moment it is here, I will post more photos.

I am very happy to get this as I have been looking for one for quite some time.

Btw, eventhough they call it "tanker jacket", this type was worn by all other branches too; Infantry, even Airborne.
