I appreciate all of this information. I've had my mom send for his records, but I don't feel like I'm going to have much luck with it. I work on an Army post, so I want to get in touch with the historian and see what he can provide. I'm also going to follow some earlier advice and try to contact the historian at Ft Leonard Wood.

It is fun, and frustrating at the same time. My next research project is to do search on my grandfather's Korean Flying unit. Another obscure mess.
