I found reference to Mr. Williams in our local paper today. He is going to be in our capitol city in October releasing balloons. One for each West Virginian killed in Iraq.
I thought you all would like to read about him and the effort being made to get a ship named after him.

Here, here. Thanks Brooke. I read it early this morning. All I can say it that I'm overwhelmed by his actions. Yes, he was and IS quite a yoiung man.

I'm glad you all enjoyed his story. I downloaded a copy of their sample letter and retyped it (editing out the typos), I'm going to send it out in the mail tomorrow. I hope it works out for him and he has a ship named in his honor.
