There are several sites that offer this kind of historical weather data. Here is one example:

This is not a FREE service, but they seems quite reasonable.

Also you can glean info from National Archive files. When I received all the S-1 thru S-4 reports, etc. from NARA in College Park, Maryland for my dad's unit, they have many references to weather conditions such as temperature.
