I havent of this before, but i just came across the same article while searching for info on the 1280th CE for our new member Bob Pearce.
quoting from the article: "According to the Pentagon, Kempthorne was inducted into the Army in January, 1944, assigned to the 1280th Engineering Battalion, trained as a demolition expert and served in Europe from December, 1944 to September, 1945." |
