Subject: 1885th
Just looking for info-my dad was in co. B of the 1885th Engr. Avn. Bn
(I found a neat booklet of the 1885th-)-I heard stories from my dad about getting a citation for their work but a plane crash ended that and they never received this honor. Is there any place i can look up to verify this??
Thank you
Joan Kerr

Hi Joan:
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but as usual I am always behind in my correspondence. But I always answer each person and take a real interest in every letter I receive.
I am not familiar with that one incident, but have you had the chance to contact the Army Corps of Engineers or NARA in Maryland, for they may have archived documentation on that unit. Let me know and I can put you in touch with...
I take it you saw the post on my forum?
