Medal/Ribbon questions

Here's another one for you. Was there a difference between the color of the Honorable Discharge Emblems (khaki or olive drab)? Are they different because of uniform or service you were in (Army/Navy, etc.)? I want to get a replacement for someone. It was issued to him for his Navy service during the war and I want to be sure I get the correct one.
