Photo VI Corps MPs and Jeep Rome '44

This is a photo taken in August 1944 of my father (behind the jeep) and 2 buddies in Rome. They'd take part in D-DAY Operation Dragoon landings in Southern France on Aug 15th - so this photo must've been taken in the 2 wks prior. I think I can make out VI on the bumper far left - the right looks like "20CP-4".
Looks like they're wearing coveralls.
