Hello mrs Marion J Chard, while conducting a personal photo research for painted M1 helmets I have stumbled across photos of combat engineers and landed on your site 6thcorpscombatengineers.com for which I congratulate with you.The reason for writing you regards the post on your site entitled "1108th (48th/235th Bns) Photos" in this post beside commenting
the great pictures, you wonder in which location these were taken, the post is old and maybe by now you alredy know.Apparently these photos were taken in San Vittore Del Lazio, small village in the province of Frosinone, in January 1944.In fact not too far from Montecassino and also not far from where my grand father was born.I quote this info from an italian website very well made, focused in the battles of the aerea www.dalvolturnoacassino.it
Kindest regardsPaolo ZammaBologna, Italy
Thank you for the information Paola!
