Colonel Jack Brooks will tell of Allied efforts to subdue our enemies in the Ground Battle for North Africa and Europe on September 10 at 7 pm at the Trailside Center as part of the WW II Living History Series sponsored by the New Santa Fe Historical Society.
Colonel Brooks, local Historian and career Military Officer, was a young Infantry officer with the lst Infantry Division in invasions of North Africa, Sicily, and Normandy on D-Day.
Colonel Brooks recently spent 3 days at Fort Riley with his old outfit, the Big Red One, and will give a brief update on how he views today’s soldiers and the state of the US Army.
