A letter from Captain John Fallon:
As you know the 8th Engr Battalion of the 36th is in Afghanistan and recently took some losses. A number were killed by a suicide bomber and just the other day a nearby NJ man Sgt John Lyons was killed in a small arms battle while on patrol. The 36th is always involved, wherever the fighting might be.
