Bonjour Marion,I am investigating (volunteer) for the daughter of a soldier seriously wounded near the village of Meyrargues (France) in 1944. The testimony of Mr Armonde Casagrande on your site indicates a bridge over the Durance River that the 343rd repaired in the North of this village.I found on a book a very bad picture of the 343rd working on it (attached file). Do you know if there is one with a better quality ? Thank you.SincerelyClaude Mesnil
I answered him and told him I had nothing on hand at the moment.
He wrote back later again.
Bonjour Marion,Thank you for making research on the railway bridge of Meyrargues in 1944.To illustrate the testimony of Mr Armonde Casagrande on your site about a viaduct close to Aix-en-Provence, I had found two historical pictures and one old postcard (attached files).Sincerely
Marion J Chard
