Nothing new to me, having served in a rifle company in a Inf. Div with the highest casualty rate. (3rd I.D.). If you lasted 6 weeks you were a "old combat vet". After

two or 3 months of combat you were a dinasour which should have been extinct. Luckily

I must have had dinasour blood in me somewhere. Many didnt. You people cant believe how we felt at wars end and realized we would live to go home after that.
