Awwwwwwwwwwww................
ACTIVITY DURING WWIISERVED IN NORTH AFRICA AND ITALY WITH THE 135TH INFANTRY REGIMENT, 34TH DIVISION FROM MARCH 1943 TO OCTOBER 1945. AWARDED THE COMBAT INFANTRYMAN BADGE, BRONZE STAR, PURPLE HEART AND EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN THEATER MEDAL, 5 BATTLE STARS.
Does the "battle star" signify you participated in a major campaign and what do they look like? I've recently came across a book titled "Great American Patriots" and it lists many veterans from my state and it lists their awards, several of those fellows were awarded battlestars and I was unusre of what it signified.
Thanks and hugs,
Brooke
