SQUADRON GENERAL ORDER ) Security Measures.

1. Information has been received to the effect that
Seven enemy parties each consisting of one officer and eleven
Men will attempt to penetrate the perimeter and create havoc.
It is assumed that some members of each party will speak good
English probably with an American accent
2. It is likely that their mode of operation will
Contemplate the acquisition of hide-out areas outside the peri-
Meter from which one or two men from each party will be sent
Inside the perimeter at night-time to select suitable objectives
And reconnoiter the routes thereto for subsequent attack. It
Is assumed that their operations will be confined to the hours
Of darkness..
3 The following emergency security measures
For this camp will be effective immeadiately. These will be ampli-
Fied from time to time as circumstanced require:
( a ) Twenty-four hour watches will be established
on guard post 1 and 2.
( b ) Between the hours of 1900 and 0700 the guards
on all posts will be doubled. Sdditional personnel required to
do this will be obtained from all departments on the basis of
a schedule to be prepared by the Quard Officer Should the
additional guard assignments conflict with the watch assignments
of the various departments adjustments will be made by the use
of supernumeraries. The new guard schedule contemplates that
each additional guard will serve one four-hour watch approximately
every ten ( 10 ) days.
( c ) The communications section will establish iys
own guard for the security of its installations. This guard
while on duty, will be responsible to the Guard Officer.
( d ) Personnel are cautioned not to wonder about the
camp area after dark unless it is absolutely necessary. Those who
are not on duty, should remain in their quarterd after the movies.
4. The following areason this island are out-of-
Bounds to personnel of this command:
( a ) Piva Strip.
( b ) Base Ordnance Depot.
( c ) Base Supply Depot.
( d ) Base Ammunition Depot.
( e ) BIPOD.
( f ) Signal Transmission Center.
