I read the excerpt and it drew me into the story. I will have to pick up the book or check it out at the library.

Has anyone read Maus? It is a comic book draw by a survivor's son. It is autobiographical and tells the story of his interview with father about the camps. Most of the book is set actually in the camps as his father tells his story. Very great work.

The different nationalities are portrayed as different animals: The Jews are mice; Germans, cats; Americans, dogs; French, frogs (sorry Vee!); and Poles, pigs.
