Battle of the Bulge - remember in December
#1

It's getting to be that time of year, and will be looking at, and receiving links, videos, etc., regarding the Battle of the Bulge. So this morning, I performed a single search just under this forum heading (Anything WWII), and came up with a wealth of forum links/topics, for your viewing pleasure. It should make it a bit easier for our readers, and give us a tremendous start in remembering all those who fought in this campaign.

Reg sent this our way.

I seriously believe that the person who set up this display in Bastogne last weekend has a very good sense of humor !!!! J

He better put ‘NO BOOM BOOM ‘ on the sign….

Always in for a good laugh …..

Sarge, were you able to view the Christmas card video I made for you and the other veterans? If not, that is one of the photos featured within. Let me know.

My husband saw this on the forum he frequents, and shared it with me.

December 1944.... Skorzeny led a panzer brigade of German soldiers in the Battle of the Bulge disguised as American soldiers in an operation known as Operation Grief. A handful were captured by the Americans and spread a rumor that Skorzeny was leading a raid on Paris to kill or capture General Eisenhower; this was untrue, but the Americans believed it and Eisenhower was confined to his headquarters for weeks

A bit late, but I still wanted to say that in this period, I remember my American Veteran friends who were shivering in their foxholes and tanks back in 1944.

Most of them are now resting peace. :14_1_107v:

And I will keep remembering them till I am put to the grave myself.

They deserve the uttermost respect!
