Carl W. “Bud” Black, 85, a resident of Bennetts Switch, was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who died peacefully at 11:38 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at his home, surrounded by his family, and flew away to be with our Lord, his Savior, Jesus Christ. Born Jan. 13, 1926, in Peru, he was the son of Orlie P. and Fern (Griswold) Black. He was the husband of Betty L. (Hall, May, Langley) Black, who survives.
