Walter M. Hazel Engineer in pacific during ww2.

Hi, Can anyone help me find out anything about my grandpa's unit. He is older now and still won't tell anyone what he did. It just would be nice to know what he did in the war. He is in an engineer unit and there is a number 5 with it somewhere on his enlistment papers. I couldn't read them too well. He served in New Guinea I think. In the Pacific my mom says.

Amy, I take it your grandfather was a engineer during WWII, so I have moved this post to the WWII engineers.
Do you have anything else that you can tell us, or can you photocopy his enlistment papers and send us a copy? That would be most helpful.
